Great to see that another member of our club is committed to support the development of our club with the senior members looking to pass on their knowledge as well as take an active role in supporting the club with its junior coaching.
We must at this stage pass our thanks to the British Beer and Pub Association for funding our recent coaching courses with grant aid.

Well done
boys
Matty Storey has recently passed his UKCC Level 1 Coaching Course and Paul Milburn who at the weekend passed his UKCC Level 2 Coaching Badge.
We now have 4 UKCC Level 1's and 1 UKCC Level 2 coaches within our membership.
We have 3 new members awaiting for their UKCC Level 1 courses and 1 waiting for his Level 2.
Which shows our committment to developing juniors at our club, younger members are our players, captains and committee members of the future.
Our aim for the following season is developing links with local schools and to offer our facilities free of charge to promote our club as well hopefully gaining new junior members.
The committee would like to thank our coaches who are all volunteer's for the time and effort they put in on behalf of the club, as they say "its all for the love of the club and not for the money".

The 2008 season was our second year with a junior section, we had 34 different children attending our sessions during the season. Our aims are simple they are to allow the children to learn the skills of the game of cricket, to have fun and make new friends at the same time.
It is early days at the moment, however our aims is we would like to have enough children to put teams in the local junior leagues. We aim to work with local schools and offer our facilities to them and hope that the children enjoy their time at our club and then come to our training sessions.
Our session are at our ground on Monday nights, starting approx May/June with a start time of 6pm till 7.30pm, the sessions run up to the last week of August. We will once again be having indoor sessions most probably at Hirst High School as we did last season starting Mid February 2009.
We will nearer the time post the day and times for our forth coming events, if anyone would like more information please contact our Chairman and he will be happy to assist. |
