Will the rain ever stop
May 1, 2012, 11:50 pm

The bottom part of our outfield next to the rugby club house is saturated, when you walk on the outfield water splashes around your feet. We can only pray for the rain to stop and the sun or the wind to get up to help the ground to dry out. At this rate with no improvement in the weather we will be lucky to have a game on Saturday.

Support From Local Business
May 1, 2012, 11:32 pm

Culpitt, a Ashington based company has agreed to sponsor our club for the 2012 season, we have close ties with the company as we have 4 of our members who work for them. As a club we really appreciate this kind gesture it means so much to us to have a local company supporting our club.

The Culpitt & Sugarfayre businesses are the UK’s leading supplier of cake and food decorating products and the UK’s largest wholesaler of sugarcrafting edibles and equipment. They sell their products to trade customers throughout the World from small Sugarcraft outlets to large industrial bakers. They are a successful company and are the European division of the global market leader in the cake decorating market, with a clear focus on providing quality products and excellent customer service.

Their product range is continually updated to meet consumer demands, allowing our customers to be at the forefront of their industry. www.culpitt.com

Praying for sunshine
Apr 25, 2012, 8:23 pm

All three teams have been hit with the weather in the first week of the season with no games played at all. Looking at the ground and the weather in the next few days we will be more likely to be able to paddle a canoe at the rugby club end than play a game of cricket.

We can only hope for sun, rain, rain go away come back another day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here comes the rain
Apr 8, 2012, 10:14 am

Just as the season is getting close the rain comes, what else would you expect.

On Saturday 7.4.2012 in the morning we pushed the moblie covers over the wicket we are preparing for our friendly with Cramlington, hoping that our game can stil go ahead. The long range forecast is not good so we can only keep our fingers crossed.

What else would we expect with the season around the corner - cricket brings the rain, rain stops cricket = Why do we play this sport.
