Thursday 23rd March saw a big rain storm which covered a third of the bottom part of our outfield which is nearest to the club house and part of our square.

Need to hope for some sun and wind to help to dry the outfield out.

We have organised a friendly with Seaton Burn CC, the game is to be played at our ground "The Rec" on Saturday 15th April, start time to be agreed.

We are looking for the game to be either a 35 or 40 over match.

Tea for two will be provided by the Rugger boys.

We are currently trying to organise an umpire (irons in the fire as they say)                           

On Thursday 16th March

• Our sight screen frames glossed and new UPVC panels on order.

• Cricket square cut down with rotary cutter.

• 4 passes of cross over rolling carried out on square.

We are looking to get our club ready for the new season with our cricket force event on Saturday 1st April with a 9am start, jobs to do are:

• Assemble the mobile covers

• Paint the sight screens and fit the panels

• Repair practice cage

• Paint kitchen walls and ceiling

• Wash kitchen throughout including all units, plates, cups, cutlery etc.

• Wash all windows in tea room and scorebox internal and external

• Clean out scorebox internal and external 

  Members are asked to come along and support your club the more we have the quicker we can get finished.

We are looking to place an order again this year we already a a number of orders what we need is for those who have ordered clothing can they please bring payment for the order to our cricket nets.

If you would like to order clothing please see you Chairman at the nets, he has the order forms.

Final date for an order is Tuesday 28th February this is to allow time so we have the clothing before the season starts.

Our cricket nets start 7th February 2017 at 8 till 9pm at Bede School, Blyth, can members please make ever effort to attend.
