League Presentation Night 2011
Nov 13, 2011, 4:34 pm

Our lads had a great night at Blue Flames, great laugh and banter all night. Big thank you to Jim (The Hoover) Peacock who treated our members with 3 bottles of bubbly.

Dean Greaves walked away with the Division 1 League Bowler of the Year Award for his 50 wickets at an average of 8, he collected his trophy from former West Indian Cricket star Jimmy Adams who was the leagues guest speaker for the night. Dean also collected the runners up trophy for the 1st Division after a great finish from the 1st team snatching the runners up spot from Kirkley CC who ended up 3rd.

End of season wicket preparation
Sep 25, 2011, 9:42 am

Friday 23rd September saw Dean Greaves, Cory Milburn and our groundsman put in a canny shift with scarfing and brushing our square, getting it ready for Saturday. The also built 2 shelves in our container to safely store our mobile cricket cover tops and domes.

Saturday 24th saw our groundsman, Cory Milburn, Craig Jobson, Dean Hardy, Mick Hudson and Ryan Pringle get down and dirty spearding our seed, fertiliser and 100 bags of loam. We also pegged out the square with pins and rope.

Our groundsman then drew in help from the rugby players to help him shift out sight screens to their normal winter parking space against our changing room gable end, he stripped the panels and stored them away and lashed the screen to the gable end as normal.

All that is left to do is to strip our covers and practice cage store them away for the winter.
