Thanks to the 8 members who supported their club on Saturday on a wet and windy day at the "REC" all the planned work was completed.

All we need now is for some dry weather to dry out the grounds.

Our sight screen frames have been glossed and are ready to have the UPVC panels inserted that is one job less for Saturday. 

All we need is bodies at the "REC" we normally get a good turn out the more we have the easier it will be and the quicker we will get finished.

Meet time is 9am, who will be the first one there!!!.

Saturday 28th March is our clubs Cricket Force event, we need members to attend and support your club. T Shirts are available for all those who support their club

We intend to build our mobile covers, sight screens and put them out onto the field, clean down our concrete pad ready for practice, clean our kitchen and tea room including washing down all our plates, cups, bowls, shelves, tables etc., clean out our score box, put out our seats in the seating area behind the security shutters etc. 

Service machines and equipment if time allows.

The club room had around 80 people in enjoying a brilliant comedy evening.

This will take place once every month and we are positive that we will get even more people into the club, lots of couples having a great night full of laughter.

Come along and enjoy yourselves bring friends and family. 

Our groundsman strated work on our ground on Saturday 14th March, he drag matted the whole outfield and then cut the outfield, he then cut the square across over with a rotary to top it off, ready for our across over rolling.  

Wednesday 18th March see's Ashington Rugby Club Launch its comedy nights doors open at 7pm comedy starts at 8pm.

3 Nationally Acclaimed Comedians "Matt Reed",  "Richard Morton" and "Lee Kyle" hosted by Kai Humphries former Ashington Rugby Player.

We have planned a inter club game to be played on the 11th April 1pm start around 30 to 35 overs. Get all the members used to playing on grass again.

We will also be holding net practice on the square on a practice strip and on our bowling pad with our practice mat. Watch out for news about when these sessions will take place.

Cricket Club EXPO returns in the spring of 2015 following three more successful exhibitions at Headingley, Edgbaston and The Ageas Bowl in 2014.

Our 2015 schedule will see us visit Lord’s for the second time, the Newcastle Cricket Centre, home of South Northumberland Cricket Club the North East ECB Premier League Champions and finally the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff.

Again we’ll be welcoming cricket clubs from all over the country to meet the companies that do so much to improve everything for cricket clubs up and down the land.

Our shows will be open from 10am to 5pm, and entrance is free.

Everyone is welcome to attend, from players, committee members, coaches, volunteers or simply followers of the game, but all visitors must pre-register here.
